Steyr Mannlicher Serial Numbers
I've inherited a Steyer-Daimler-Puch AG, Steyr rifle. I'm trying to determine the model number and value, any help would be greatly appreciated. This seems to be a Steyr Mannlicher from my novice research. It's stamped Stoeger Arms Corp, Made in Austria on the bottom. It has a 34352 serial number, I couldn't find any other markings, but probably just not looking in the right place. Thanks.
The markings are on the receiver bridge, where the scope bases are installed--what is the caliber of the weapon?
Hi, I own a SSG 69 P1 and was wondering when it was made. Does anyone know how to interpret the serial numbers? 1966xx (The rifle is at the.
DAK,
I was able to see that this is a 30-06, it's stamped on the top of the receiver. I was also told this was a Steyr Mannlicher Model SL, would you be able to provide an assistance perhaps confirming this, and letting me know what the value of this rifle might be? Thanks.
Tim
DAK/All,
I wanted to re-open this, in hopes of confirming this rifle, as I'm having a very difficult time. As mentioned, it's a .30-06. I noticed there is a stamp on the left side of the barrel that looks like an AV, with 61 next to it. And another 61 stamp with some kind of emblem on the receiver. I believe this is a Model 1961 MCA rifle, based off of the white ring on the stock and 61 markings, but I haven't been able to confirm. I was told this was a Model SL, but have looked at many pictures and I don't think this is accurate. Any help you or anyone else can give is appreciated. I've attached a pic of the 61 markings. Thanks.
