Inspire Updater searches and retrieves full versions or updates to Inspire whenever they become available so Inspire is always up to date with the latest products and improvements. Inspire Updater can be scheduled to execute automatically and process the download and installation without any user intervention. Depending on how this feature is implemented, a live Internet connection may be required to access. See Inspire Updater Preferences below for more information.

3. Click Check for Updates and a dialog listing all of the available updates appears, if available.

4. Click the checkbox to the left of the desired updates to install.

5. Click Install to download the selected updates.

   Tip: Click Save to save the download to a file. Identify the path including drive,folder, and filename and clickSave.

   Tip: Click Close to cancel the download.

6. Once the download is complete, click Install to install the updates.

7. Once the install is complete, click Finish.

Inspire Updater Preferences

Inspire Updater Preferences identifies how often the updater should check for updates, selects the language, location, and storage options, and proxy server credentials. Network administrators can download and install updates from the Internet and publish them to the network so Inspire Updater can download and install updates from the network for users that don't have Internet access.

1. Double click on the Inspire Updater icon on the system tray and click Edit Preferences or right click on the Inspire Updater icon on the system tray and click Edit Preferences.

2. Enter or edit basic preferences.

   Field Name	Description	Details
   Check for updates (day)	Selects if Inspire Updater should check for updates every day, on a specific day of the week, or never.	If Never is selected, all remaining Automatic Updates Scheduling fields are disabled.
   Check for updates (time)	Selects if Inspire Updater should check for updates when the computer is turned on or at a specific time of day.	The options are Startup and all Hours of the day in 60 minute increments. This field is only available if Every Day or A Specific Day of the week is selected for the scheduling day.
   Automatically download updates	Denotes whether or not Inspire Updater should automatically download all available updates.	If selected, the Inspire Updater screen is bypassed and all available updates are automatically downloaded. This checkbox is only available if Every Day or A Specific Day of the week is selected for the scheduling day.
   Automatically install updates	Denotes whether or not Inspire Updater should automatically install all available updates.	If selected, the Download complete screen is bypassed and all updates that were downloaded are automatically installed. This checkbox is only available if Every Day or A Specific Day of the Week is selected for the scheduling day.
   Language	Selects the language for the Preferences screen.	If the language is changed, it won't take effect until the next time Inspire Updater starts.
   Hidden Updates	Restores updates that were hidden previously and never installed.	To view a list of updates that were hidden previously and never installed but are still applicable, click Restore hidden updates. This button is only enabled if updates were hidden previously.

3. Click the Advanced tab.

4. Enter or edit advanced preferences.

   Field Name	Description	Details
   Updates Location	Indicates if Inspire Updater should check the Internet or a network location for updates.	If Internet is selected, a live Internet connection is required to check for updates. If Network Location is selected, enter the network path or click Browse to locate the drive and folder and clickOK. A network administrator must publish updates to the location identified in order for Inspire Updater to download and install full versions or updates on users' computers that don't have Internet access. This location must match the Publish updates to the following locationbelow on the network administrator's Preferences screen.
   Publish Updates
   Publish updates to the following location	Denotes whether or not to publish updates to an alternative location so Inspire Updater can download and install updates from this location for users that don't have Internet access.	If selected, enter the network path or click Browse to locate the drive and folder and clickOK. This location must match the Network Locationabove on the users' computers Preferences screen that don't have Internet access.
   Automatically activate updates when they are published	Denotes whether or not to publish the updates automatically to the alternative location once the download is complete.	If selected, updates are automatically published to the location identified and the next time Inspire Updater checks for updates on users' computers that have this location identified as the Updates Location, Inspire Updater automatically downloads and installs the updates. This checkbox is only available if Publish updates to the following location is selected.
   Manage Published Updates (Button)	Selects which updates to publish to the alternative location if Automatically activate updates when they are publishedis not selected.	Launches screen to select which updates to publish to the location identified. This button is only available if Publish updates to the following location is selected. Click Manage Published Updates or right click on the Inspire Updater icon on the system tray and click Manage Published Updates. Click the checkbox to the left of the desired updates to publish and click Close.
   Proxy Server Credentials
   Change proxy username and password (Button)	Identifies the user's credentials if a username and password are required to access the Internet.	This button is only enabled if credentials are required to access the Internet. Click Change proxy username and password, enter the username and password, and click OK.

5. Click OK to save the preferences and close the screen.

   Note: If the language was changed, a message displays that it won't take effect until the next time Inspire Updater starts. Click OK. Right click on the Inspire Updater icon on the system tray and click Exit. Click Start>All Programs>Inspire Updater to reaccess. Right click on the Inspire Updater icon on the system tray and click Edit Preferences to display in the selected language.
