Thank you very much for the link to the drivers for the Traveler microscope. Traveler USB Microscope. Medion Lifetab E7316 / E7318 Aldi Tablet. I have just bought an Aldi USB microscopes as a birthday present for my. Drivers ervice.de/cms/index.php?id=o ptical-equipment-detail-au&t x.
I'm not sure exactly if it would work, or how to go about getting the driver from the old laptop.
If you can determine the files associated with the device (maybe in an inf file), you might be able to cobble the pieces together and copy the driver, any pre-requisite software and the .inf file to the Win7 machine.
There's often an install log that would tell you more, but log files often get cleaned up during regular maintenance.
Even if you can find all of the pieces, the driver still might not work on Win7.
It's a very long shot, but if you can't locate the packaged driver, it might.. stress might be an option.
I guess I would start by finding the .inf file in by looking at the device properties in Device manager (I forget XP, so the name might be different). The details page of drivers has an inf section and that will tell you the name associated with the driver. If you find it, attach it to a post (paperclip on posting menu) and I'll take a look.
No promises on this, just a big maybe it will work.
edit: just a thought.. sometimes the install package is copied to the hard drive, but not always. search C: for Aveo or microscope - you might get lucky.
